APC Adopts New Tactics To Pick Candidates
Following the All Progressives Congress (APC) constitution amendments on Wednesday, the party has now adopted a new tactics to pick its candidates for the 2015 elections.
The major opposition party is now constitutionally allowed to use indirect primaries to elect any of its candidates as the need arises, Leadership reports.
Senator Osita Izunaso, national organising secretary of the party, led the process and asked the legal adviser of the party to read the synopsis of the amendments, and called on the deputy chairman (North), Senator Lawal Shuaibu to move the motion for the amendment while Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa seconded the motion.
Bamise: Court Remands BRT Driver
A Yaba Magistrate court in Lagos State has remanded Mr Nice (Andrew) Omininikoron for 30 days. Recall that Naija News earlier reported that Omininikoron, a Bus Rapid Transit driver was arrested in connection with the murder of a passenger, Oluwabamise Ayanwole.
The chief Magistrate, O.A. Salawu ordered that Ominnikoron be remanded for 30 days.
She stated that the suspect be held in police custody following the legal advice from the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
