The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disclosed that former President Goodluck Jonathan is still a member of the opposition party. Naija News had reported that a source in Jonathan’s camp confirmed that the former Nigerian leader registered his membership with the ruling party at his Otuoke Ward in Bayelsa State.
But the APC Chairman in the state, Dennis Otiotio, said Jonathan is not a member of the party, adding that he can only be a member if granted a waiver by the national chairman of the party, Adamu Abdullahi.
2023: PDP Is Dead And Buried In Ebonyi
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has no standing structure in his state. Speaking on Monday during his appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme, Umahi said the opposition party is “dead and buried” in the South East state.
The Ebonyi governor added that the major opposition party cannot be reckoned with in the political discussion in the state and cannot be considered as a serious party.
