Unknown gunmen have stirred tension in Ukwa West local government area of Abia State. Reports reaching Naija News on Wednesday morning confirmed that many are feared dead after the assailants stormed the Abia cattle market in Omumauzor. They reportedly invaded the newly constructed market and killed several persons on Tuesday night. Details of the incident are still sketchy at the moment. The Nation, however, confirmed that security operatives have been deployed to the area to maintain peace.
